If you're in the market for new outdoor furniture, take a look at teak wood. Rain or shine, teak furniture can withstand almost any weather conditions that are thrown its way. Because of its amazing durability and low maintenance requirements, it has been widely used for building ship decks. More recently teak wood is constantly sought after for use in household items such as countertops, flooring, cutting boards and furniture.

Teak furniture is a naturally attractive addition to your patio or backyard that requires little to no effort to maintain. As I can appreciate well-groomed furniture, but don't actually have the patience to care for my furniture, this is a huge benefit for me. Prices and design can vary greatly depending on the type of teak furniture that you purchase. Typical outdoor furniture consists of a table with chairs, a bench and maybe a lounge chair or two (for those of us who enjoy outdoor naps!)

Teak Chairs
While there are thousands of teak chair options available, make sure that you look at all of your options before selecting which chair is right for you. I personally prefer a chair that lets me sit back and kick my feet up for a nice afternoon nap. Which means I look for wooden chairs with a slight recline in the back and a footrest or ottoman.

Teak Benches
In my opinion, a patio is not complete without a bench. Of course there are many design choices when it comes to benches as well, but I prefer the classic wooden bench facing the garden with space for two people. A wooden bench is essential in any home and should last a lifetime. I know that I need a teak bench because its durability will outlast any other wooden bench, and I want my bench to grow old with me.

Teak Tables
My dining table is beautiful, but is almost purely decoration. Because I am fortunate to live in a place with nice, warm weather, I consume most of my meals outside and therefore need a functional and sturdy, yet attractive table to accommodate me. A classic round teak table is perfect for my outdoor dining needs, especially one that includes an umbrella in the center of the table for shade. Shade is essential during the day in Texas!

Everyone has different style preferences when it comes to furniture. I encourage you to shop around online before making a decision to make sure that you are getting the outdoor furniture that is right for your home.

Slept in until 11, went for a number 2, showered with bucket of water ensuring to keep some to flush the toilet. Pushed bike downstairs and got on the road to Chisinau 50k away. Very hot so many stops to take on water. Also got rear tyre blown up at car tyre sellers to much amusement. Arrived in centre doing all the buildings such as the parliament and arc de triumph recommended in book. Couldn't find hostel so went to hotel tourist to find way, security wouldn't let me bring bike into reception, but I'd had enough so played my face and was allowed to take it in. Found hostel with 3 Latvians outside and they were able to translate for me to find out it was full - wouldn't even let me sleep on floor. Owner recommended a hotel nearby but was a little expensive so walked out after no price movement, so back to hostel who then found me a hostel 8k out of town for a good price, so I went back to hotel. Met up with Latvians and Canadian-Hong Kong Germaine who I encouraged to walk the 2k to the beer house. At beer house we sat outside got menus but the Latvians complained about the price so we walked off, with my intention to return at some point. We ...
